Citizen Assisted Patrol was established in Sweetwater Community circa 2003. CAP reports to Polk County Sheriff's Dept and Sweetwater Community security liaison. They observe and report. Volunteers are welcome. Training is through the Polk County Sheriff's Dept with required hours each month. A background check is required. C.A.P. provides a valuable crime deterrence effect for the community.
